A night at the races! So much fun, especially with a pit pass, where you get to see all the action that goes on before and after a race the typical fan never sees. I used to race karts when I was in middle school and high school for about 5 years or so. There's a lot of intensity that goes on getting the car ready for a race, crashes, and some times more than words get exchanged. It's quite a fun sport, and it's very common to see families involved.
These are all just sketches of some of the action in the pits.
This all took place at I-76 Speedway, a nice dirt track found near Fort Morgan in Colorado. The cars in these drawings are the Midgets from RMMA, IMCA Modifieds, and Lighting Sprints.
