Character design for class. This is Godfrey the Alchemist, a timid shy man with a very strong sense of justice. He is driven to help those in need despite his timidness. He desperately tries to avoid the spotlight even though he may find himself in the role of the hero many times. His aptitude for alchemy is at a genius level, and occasionally finds himself creating his own formula on the fly.
The line art was done with graphite, and colored in Photoshop and Painter. I'm not very good with digital color, so it took me a good while to color. Seems like I'm always trying new techniques, which stretch the coloring process, whenever I color in either Photoshop or Painter. Perhaps soon, I'll get comfortable enough to be quick and not have to play back and forth with how I want the color to go.
